Since the start of implementing the EU structural funds, the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic has held a solid position when it comes to realisation of cohesion policy that it has been ensuring on a cross-sectional basis for the third programme period in row. In order to support the creation of a more innovative, more inclusive and more sustainable European area, it fulfils the role of a national body and contact point in the field of European territorial cooperation.
