BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

Improving economic conditions and business environment of the country is a constant and continual process. The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic (MoE SR) based on discussions with businessmen develops annually proposals for measures passing of which aims at creating such an environment. Measures are aimed mainly at reducing administrative burden and at creating positive conditions not only at the beginning but also during conducting business. Among the most current topics of MoE SR are tools for better regulation (assessing impacts of regulation, measuring administrative burden) and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups. The Slovak Republic placed 29th from among 189 countries evaluated as part of the international evaluation of business environment quality Doing Business by the World Bank.
