People in Humenné will not lose their jobs and do not need to worry about heating in their homes.

The supply of heating and hot water to the city of Humenne, after complex negotiations, the supply of all energy services to the industrial park—is being taken over by the state-owned company MH Teplárenský holding and its subsidiaries. This ensures not only heating and hot water for over 30,000 residents in the city but also jobs for more than 1,500 employees in the Chemes industrial park.

“Our top priority at the Ministry of Economy was to guarantee the supply of heating and hot water for the people of Humenné under all circumstances. We succeeded, and residents experienced no disruptions. We also focused intensively on the situation in the industrial park, where around 1,500 people work. The Ministry of Economy, together with the state heating holding, did everything possible to ensure production continued and jobs were preserved,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková.

“These were extremely challenging negotiations, but I’m very pleased that, on the holiday celebrating all workers, we can announce the signing of the agreement and the restoration of all necessary energy supplies to the park, so that production can resume as soon as possible. Employees will be able to continue their work,” concluded Denisa Saková, thanking all parties involved for their constructive approach.
