New Statute of the Government Council for Competitiveness and Productivity — Experts and the public are invited to participate.

The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic announces that, effective April 2, 2025, the Secretariat of the Government Council of the Slovak Republic for Competitiveness and Productivity (RVKP) has been taken over by the Institute for Strategic Analyses (ISA) of the Government Office. Changes to the RVKP Statute were approved on April 23, 2025, with the aim of unifying and strengthening the state’s analytical and coordination capacities.

The RVKP builds on the work of the National Productivity Board, which was established based on a 2016 recommendation from the European Council. The Council serves as an advisory and initiative-taking body to the Government of the Slovak Republic in matters related to boosting productivity and competitiveness in the Slovak economy. It issues opinions on annual reports and action plans, analyzes domestic and international policies, and contributes to the development of systemic recommendations. The Council consists of 21 members, including a chairperson and two vice-chairpersons.

As the new secretariat, the ISA has announced a call for applications to join the expert panel and submit nominations for non-permanent members of the RVKP. Nominations can be submitted until May 15, 2025. Based on the evaluation of submitted proposals, the composition of the expert panel and the list of non-permanent members will be determined.
