Approved investment aid: Support for the Upper Nitra region and the transformation of the automotive industry in Slovakia
Further support for the Upper Nitra region has been proposed by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic (MOE). At its external meeting on Wednesday 27th of November in Topoľčianky, the Slovak Government approved a proposal to provide investment support to Carcoustics Slovakia Nováky s.r.o., which will contribute to the transformation of the region and the automotive industry in Slovakia. The company's new production facility will create 46 new jobs in the region.
"Investments in the Upper Nitra region are key to its development and transformation. Supporting Carcoustics Slovakia is another concrete step by which we contribute not only to the diversification of our economy in the region, the creation of quality jobs, but also to the overall increase of the competitiveness of Slovak industry in the field of advanced technologies," said Denisa Saková, Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic and Minister of Economy, after the meeting.
The Slovak Government approved investment aid of EUR 3,469,700 exclusively in the form of income tax relief. The objective of the supported investment plan is to expand the capacity of the existing plant in Nováky for the production of components for advanced electric (hybrid) vehicle platforms. As part of the investment plan, the beneficiary undertook to incur investment costs of at least EUR 11 565 800.
The implementation of the above plan will result in a significant increase in production, by more than 200%. All production will be exported, 98% of it within the European Union.
Carcoustics Slovakia Nováky is part of the Carcoustics Group, which was founded in Germany in 1952 and has been part of the Chinese Dare Group since 2016. The group specialises in the development and production of acoustic, thermal and electromagnetic insulation solutions for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
The company opened its first production plant in Slovakia in Senec in 2005. It built a second plant in Nováky in 2013, focusing on polyurethane and aluminium production programs.
